A-2 was located in Gio Linh District of Quang Tri Province at the Eastern end of the DMZ. In the top portion of the photo you can see the mouth of the Ben Hai River that ran through the center of the DMZ and a portion of the coastline of the Gulf of Tonkin. Photo is courtesy of Carl Moore, who did target acquisition from the observation tower at A-2 forC-F-26th Artillery-TAB in 1969-70. He found this pic while surfing the net. He also believes the pic was taken sometime in 1967 or 1968. |
